Columbus is the capital of and the largest city in the state of Ohio.​ Pictured on the left, COSI is the main reason that school groups visit Columbus.  The Center of Science & Industry was recently named America's #1 science center for families by Parent Magazine.  COSI moved in 1999 to a new 320,000-square-foot home, creating one of the largest modern-built science centers in the United States. 

 

The Ohio State University, in downtown Columbus, is America's 2nd largest college campus

The Downtown area (also known as the Golden Triangle) sits where the Allegheny River from the northeast and Monongahela River from the southeast form the Ohio River.  Pictured on the left, the Duquesne Incline has been totally refurbished and is a great way to see the entire city and also to learn about the history of Pittsburgh and Mt. Washington.

The Henry Ford, America's Greatest History Attraction, is comprised of the Henry Ford Museum, Greenfield Village and Ford's River Rouge Production Plant Tour.  Attractions include John F. Kennedy's presidential limousine, Abraham Lincoln's chair from Ford's Theatre, Thomas Edison's laboratory, the Wright Brothers' bicycle shop, and the Rosa Parks bus.

Put-in-Bay is a village located on South Bass Island.  The bay played a significant role in the War of 1812 as the location of the squadron of U.S. naval commander Oliver Hazard Perry.  Students will learn about the significance of Lake Erie in the history of America and will also visit caves and other fun attractions.
